Meet the Management Team

Brooke Driver, Owner

Favorite part of working in bridal: My favorite part about working in this industry is that love is my job! Every day, I am blessed enough to hear beautiful love stories, see the support and kindness of each bride’s’ friends and family and watch her beam (or cry!) as it hits her that this is the dress–the dress in which she’ll become a wife and begin the most beautiful journey of her life!

Favorite designer: Is all of the above an answer!? 🙂

Favorite bridal style: I will always be a ballgown girl at heart, and I can’t get enough of fluffy ruffled skirts!

Best advice for brides: Choose your bridal entourage carefully! We recommend bringing just a few of your closest and trustiest friends and family members to your bridal appointment, people who will really listen to your thoughts and feelings, but who will also offer honest advice when asked. We find that the larger the bridal party, the larger the opinions and the more overwhelmed the bride!

Jenn Greenfield, Manager

Favorite part of working in bridal: I love knowing I played a small part in the Bride’s big day!

Favorite designer: Allure

Favorite bridal style: I love all things lace, especially lace sleeves!

Best advice for brides: Allow yourself to be honest with how you feel about a gown, whether it’s what you thought you would like, or a completely different style. And always remember that your wedding day is about you, your fiance’, and your new lives together. Pick a gown that makes you feel the way YOU want to feel on your wedding day.

Meet the Consultants

Lily, Bridal Consultant

This South Florida girl grew up watching TLC’s, Say Yes to the Dress, and that’s when the passion for bridal began! I am currently a Senior Theatre Performance Major at James Madison University, with plans to move to a major city upon graduation. In the shop, my eyes are drawn to delicate lace, and anything that makes the booty pop, so anything Allure my go to designer! I love being a consultant because I am constantly surrounded by beautiful, strong, and empowering women. When not at work or studying, you can find me stalking all things bridal on Instagram, watching HGTV, or eating Halo Top. I can’t wait to work with you to help you find THE dress!

Tasia, Bridal Consultant

Although I was born in Seneca Rocks, West Virginia, I grew up in Orange County, Virginia. I first was officially introduced into the bridal world through assisting with Day-of-Wedding Coordinating. I instantly fell even more in love with everything about weddings. I have been looking forward to this next step for me of entering into the world of bridal gowns. I love getting to know brides on a personal level and being a part of assisting them in finding THE dress to create the wedding they have been dreaming about. I am obsessed with lace with a touch of delicate beading and a dramatic back.

Jamie, Bridal Consultant

I’ve been in Harrisonburg now for over 9 years and in the wedding industry for 3 years. I have worked as a wedding planner, as a tuxedo consultant (go check out Classic Tuxedos & Suits!), and now as bridal consultant. I adore all things lace and have fallen in love with large, different, and unique lace patterns. Outside of work, I am usually found with a good novel, my knitting, or a chilled glass of whiskey. I am currently a graduate student at EMU.

Grace, Bridal Consultant

I’m a senior at James Madison University, studying English Literature. I grew up in Mechanicsville, VA with 17 other siblings (12 adopted, 6 biological), a dog, six cats and too many beta fish. I love baking with my mom and working out with friends. My favorite style of dress is anything long and sparkly. The best part about the bridal world is seeing the bride’s face upon trying on the dress that they will walk down the aisle in. It is indescribable!

Abby, Bridal Consultant

I grew up right here in Harrisonburg and absolutely love our valley. I’m currently a graduate student at James Madison University studying to be a Physician Assistant! I absolutely love being a bridal consultant at Bridal Impressions. Bridal gown shopping is a truly beautiful experience to share with brides-to-be. I really enjoy getting to know each of my brides and exploring their different styles! I believe that every bride deserves to feel excited, beautiful, and confident in their gown. I like that the bridal fashion world is becoming more accepting of all shapes and sizes, and I can’t wait to see this trend continue. I’m a true lover of lace and sleek silhouettes, but I also gravitate toward relaxed bohemian styles. It’s very exciting to see designers diversify their collections with new fabrics and dramatic silhouettes, and I can’t wait to see what the bridal world comes up with next!

Our History

1995

Peggy Huffman opened Bridal Impressions, hoping to create a bridal experience unlike anything else in the Valley. In October of 2015, she retired–after 20 years of service–secure in the knowledge that she had created a reputation for bridal and formal excellence.

2015

Brooke Driver acquired the shop, excited and honored to continue its reputation for excellent customer service and quality selection. Immediately, she hired Rebecca Shelly, a close friend and coworker from Brooke’s event planning business, as full time manager, and the two strove to create a personalized bridal experience and cultivate a strongly bonded, friendly and knowledgeable team of consultants. With hearts focused on serving brides of all shapes, sizes and styles, Brooke and Rebecca decided to eliminate the sale of prom and formal items, instead transforming the room previously used for prom into a full-figured bridal suite. They continue to search for ways to better serve brides and their attendants, and are excited to offer the highest quality of service to the Shenandoah Valley.
